I'm a college student, and I'm majoring in magazines (yes, that is a real major) and minoring in sociology.
When I'm not at school, I live with my dad & bird dog both of whom I love dearly.
When I'm not studying, I'm reading, hanging out with friends, playing or watching sports or going on adventures!
I used to work at a dog kennel, but we recently moved, so this summer I'm just volunteering and interning for a magazine publishing company.
A snowy Christmas at the dog kennel
I love to do arts and crafts projects, but I don't have a lot of supplies or money, so I don't get to do too many. Hopefully one day I'll have an amazing craft room, and maybe my own Etsy shop! For now though, I'll stick to being inspired by other people's amazing creations & making a few of my own.
I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, and I plan to start posting more of those when I go back to school (because I don't really cook when I'm at home).
Savory Crescent Chicken Squares
I also enjoy taking photos of my friends, my life or just about anything that is pretty.
My goal in life is to teach journalism to elementary school students. Until then, I hope to work for a magazine when I graduate in six months, and then gradually get into teaching.
You can read all about this at my blog: Sweet Tea Serendipity. I've recently gotten into "personal" blogging, and I'm really enjoying it. So, feel free to stop by and say "Hi" because I want to get to know you too!
P.S. Wanna win this nifty ring? Stop by my blog and find out how!
A special thanks to Patricia for letting me guest blog on her wonderful blog today!
E & K Family Books Has done a great review on the book Wings by Aprilynne Pike. She compares it to Twilight. I loved the Twilight series so if this book in her opinion is in the same ranks I will definitely read it. I added it to my wishlist. Check out the review E & K Family Books wrote about Wings.
The reason I say I have gone to the dogs is because my Lab puppies are almost four weeks old and you can't imagine the mess they can make. They are very cute and lovable but I am ready for these babies to find a new home. Two more weeks of cleaning up puppy pee and poop. YUK! You should see the mess they make when they eat mositened Puppy chow. I put it in two pie plates and they stand in the plates and even though it is on newspaper they still get it all over the floor. Whenever they get through eating at least two are three of them fall asleep in the pie plates and have to be cleaned up. I think it is hilarious that they fall asleep while eating. The mom, Maggie, is not real interested in nursing them anymore because they are abusive little leaches with claws. I got her some Udder Butter but she is still all scratched up and sore. today I actually wore my rubber boots to go in the kitchen because they keep going after my toes and angle for a chew toy. So if you are wanting one of the little leaches and you are anywhere near Houston or you want to make a trip to Houston. There are five white/yellow males, one white female, two black males and I am keeping the one chocolate male. Please Contact me if you are interested they are so cute.
Don't make me beg. Oh sorry I am already begging aren't I. ;)
