My Thoughts

DIABETES ABC is not just illustrations and a well written children's book.  This book is a way to help your child to understand Diabetes for themselves, a family member or maybe even a friend.  It will give the adult a way discuss diabetes with their child in a way that will help them to overcome their fears of diabetes.  Diabetes is no reason to give up one's goals.  Attitude is the most important thing.  Don't let the depression and fear rule one's life.  Face it with all you have.  No pity allowed.

The way author the author setup the book is wonderful in that on one page it is designed for the child then on the opposite page it is for the adult with a more adult look at diabetes.  I feel this book should be on hand at all times to remind the child to hang in there and be brave.  The illustrations depict the abc's of  diabetes in a fun and colorful way for the child.

My husband has diabetes and this book will be a great way to explain diabetes to the grandchildren. They have asked questions about why Pawpaw can't eat sweets.  It was not easy to explain.

I highly recommend this book.

I rated this book a 5 out of 5.

Disclosure:  I received a copy of this book from the author/Bostick Communications for review.  I was in not way compensated for this review.  It is my own opinion.
