Janie and the Magic Box Christmas
Christmas is coming, but the thermometer is rising to 100 degrees. Janie looks at her green yard and fills up with woe. One day ‘till Christmas with no sign of snow! Not a fleck, not a speck, not a white spot around. Each blade of grass sticks straight up from the ground. When a curious freckled-box arrives on Janie’s doorstep, she opens it, releasing a whirlwind of mischievous freckles. Join Janie as she follows the freckles on a wild chase to save Christmas. This rhyming tale is told with humor and heart. It is destined to become a holiday classic for generations to come. .

My Thoughts
I read this book to the rythme of Twas the Night Before Christmas. It sounded great!
Not a creature was stirring cause it was so darn hot!
Poor Janie was really stressing over the heat wave they were having and it was spoiling Christmas.
Her faithful and confused dog was listening to Janie carry on about the weather. They even noticed that the Christmas Tree was dying from the heat. She walked in the kitchen and stepped on a box which tipped over and lo and behold something magical was happening.
Will Christmas be saved from the heat? What about the poor Christmas Tree, will it survive? What in the world was in that box?!?!
Well you better grab your copy of JANIE AND THE MAGIC BOX CHRISTMAS and find out what happened when that box tore open!
Julia writes this rhyming tale with great humor which will have you and your children laughing out loud. I like how she describes her books as edutainment in rhyme and in prose.
While reading this book you can almost feel the movement of the magic because of the illustrations that bring this magical rhyming tale alive. The author Julia Dweck and the illustrator Terry Sirrell have definitely created a magical Christmas story for all ages to enjoy.
I highly recommend this book
